Dale Hatchard knew he wanted to raise his family in Riverview. Dale was born in Amherst, NS, but with his parents from Moncton he was eager to move his young family closer to his roots.
“Riverview seemed like such a family-friendly place to be, and we were drawn here. After 15 years here now, it feels like home. It was also a great opportunity to start this kind of business based in Riverview. There weren’t many pest control businesses here and there is great community support. I’ve been able to set up my home base right here in Riverview, while continuing to serve all of southeastern New Brunswick,” says Dale.
Having worked for a large international pest control company for 17 years, Dale was entrepreneurially minded and eager to strike out on his own. Motivated by his desire to support the local community and offer expert solutions, his business has quickly become a trusted resource for pest control in the region. Providing “aid” is built into the company name, and “ex,” represents expert exterminator.
“My customers inspire me as I’m able to work alongside them to solve their pest problems. It’s very satisfying to know that I’m able to provide solutions and can make a tangible difference for people,” says Dale.
Running a small family business allows customers to have direct access to the owner rather than dealing with multiple people, or an office with no human connection. Ensuring that customers have a high-quality experience is a priority for Aidex, as Dale prides himself on taking time with every customer. To Dale, being part of the Riverview community is both rewarding and fulfilling.
“I do what I can to support other local maritime companies as I want to see the whole region succeed. That was a big part of my business model, which is to focus on supporting other businesses in the area,” says Dale.
