Experience Light Up Riverview November 24 – January 8

It's the most wonderful time of the year - bundle up for festive fun along the twinkling riverfront as we Light Up Riverview for another holiday season!

Mayor Andrew J. Leblanc and Riverview Town Council invite you to join them on the Riverfront Trail on Thursday, November 24 at 7 p.m. for a festive evening filled with tunes, treats and a bit of magic!  Special thanks to our sponsor, Electro Cables, for making this year’s event possible with their generous donation.

Music will be in the air as Flea Market Underground rocks the night away at the riverfront gazebo. Stroll farther along the trail, past the covered bridge to discover our popular Youth Village! Here, you can donate items for those in need organized by Immaculate Heart of Mary Youth, grab a hot chocolate in support of Atlantic Wellness from the RHS Dragon Boat team, and celebrate the season with a selfie and colouring pages from the Riverview Youth Collective!

Bring your letter for Santa and drop it in our mailbox for special direct delivery to the North Pole. After the event, the mailbox will be relocated by the elves to Riverview Town Hall, 30 Honour Court until Friday, December 9.

If you're feeling thirsty, stop by the Fundy Chocolate River Station for spirited alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages created especially for the evening by Holy Whale. While you’re there, take in the musical stylings of Felix Belliveau and Kyle Birt from 6-8 p.m. Don’t miss the Light Up Riverview Market by wandering both levels of the building and shop local this holiday season from twelve fantastic Riverview businesses.

Holiday greetings and thanks are extended to Light Up Riverview’s silver sponsor, RBC, who will also be hosting a community food drive during the Mayor’s Light Launch on November 24. An RBC truck will be onsite behind Greco so trail users can easily drop off non-perishable food items.

Warm up with the Christmas Barn's delightful gourmet hot chocolate with all the fixings! The friendly staff will be serving from its event trailer on the Fundy Chocolate River Station boardwalk.

Walking, rolling, snowshoeing, and fat biking along the trail are all encouraged. However you choose to move along the riverfront, Light Up Riverview is a must-see holiday experience in New Brunswick. The lights will remain on until January 8, 2023.

Visitors are reminded of trail etiquette – please be courteous to fellow trail-goers so that all can enjoy this dazzling holiday tradition.
