Vicky Desrosier has a passion for helping animals.
Growing up she always had a dog, and eagerly completed a grooming course immediately after high school graduation. However, she switched gears and entered the health care field to look after two-legged loved ones who needed help. That is until 2017, when she decided to leave her job to open a dog grooming business.
“In 2016 I lost my father, and one of the things he always encouraged me to do is follow a career path that I would love and enjoy. Six months later, I made the best decision of my life and opened LuvPaws Grooming,” says Vicky.
Vicky’s drive has created a safe and happy place for animals to get pampered. She hires people who have this same passion and offers the community a variety of services to meet the needs of every pet. LuvPaws provides a one-stop shop to pamper and protect your pet. In addition to grooming, LuvPaws carries dog and cat supplies, a dog treat bakery, a self-service tub, and 24-hour services in case your pet runs into a grooming emergency — such as a skunk on one of Riverview’s local trails.
“Riverview is such a friendly, supportive community. It was where I wanted to open my business because without this community there would be no LuvPaws — the services and support here are the best,” says Vicky.
With the goal of helping any pet in need, LuvPaws offerings always have care and convenience at the top of mind. Tuesdays are dedicated to cats with two staff on deck for cat grooming. With just 24 hours' notice they can make a custom cake for your dog to help you celebrate their special day. And of course, their self-service tub is an affordable, convenient option to give your pet a bath without dealing with the mess in your home!
