Riverview Fire & Rescue Hosts Open House For Fire Prevention Week

RIVERVIEW (N.B.) – Riverview Fire & Rescue will host an open house on Saturday, October 14 to celebrate 2023 Fire Prevention Week. Come get an up-close look at fire, rescue and EMS equipment and learn important fire prevention and safety tips. Admission is free! The Town will also be promoting Riverview's new alert system at the event, where visitors can sign up on the spot to receive text and email alerts for things like the winter parking ban and emergency measure notifications i.e. storm updates.

All events take place at the Riverview Fire Station (650 Pinewood Road).

8-11 a.m. Pancake breakfast hosted by the Riverview Lions Club
8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Children’s activities including antique fire trucks, ride-along on Little Albert Engine 11 ½, inflatables and more.
12-2 p.m. Barbecue and refreshments courtesy of Liberty Utilities

Fire Prevention Week 2023 is observed from October 8-14. This year's theme “Cooking safety starts with YOU. Pay attention to fire prevention™”, works to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe when cooking.
