Get ready for a weekend of festive fun in Riverview! Holiday Hoopla is back from December 8th to 10th, and we have a fantastic lineup of events and activities in store for you. Holiday Colouring and Board Game Drop-In at the Riverview Public Library.
2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Riverview Public Library.

Families and children of all ages are invited to the Riverview Public Library for a Holiday colouring and boardgame drop-in afternoon, free of charge. All supplies will be provided by the Riverview Public Library. Hot chocolate and cider will be served in the activity room as well!

Christmas Holiday Door Rug Hooking Workshop with Gwen Dixon.
1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Parks and Recreation Office Boardroom (55 Biggs Drive).
Enjoy a relaxed afternoon of hooking. Perfect for beginners to learn loop height and spacing and to hook with Size 5 hand-dyed wool strips. There are a variety of colors to choose from and you can pick your colors in advance of the workshop. If you are an experienced hooker, come enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and hook a Christmas decoration. Easy to make and finished in a hoop! Wool, burlap and hoop provided and included in the cost of $45. Bring a small pair of sharp scissors and a traditional rug hook. If you don't have a hook, they will be available for loan or purchase at $15.

The Riverview Indoor skatepark and Youth Centre is open to all ages FREE of charge for the 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. time slot. Don't have a skateboard? No problem! The Skatepark has free loaner boards in-house that you can use while you're here! Free admission also covers the Youth Centre/Arcade for anyone looking to play pool, video games or just hang out! There will also be free festive treats to help get you into the Holiday spirit.

The Parks and Recreation YOUth Drop-in will be hosting an evening of Gingerbread Man Decorating and a hot chocolate bar free of charge while the Riverview Indoor Skatepark and Youth Centre hosts free admission. Stop in anytime from 7:00 - 9:30 and enjoy some hot chocolate and a treat while you and friends relax with a board game.
