NEW BUSINESS
a. Award of Tender 21-84
Sanitary Sewer Replacement
That Tender 21-84 for Sanitary Sewer Replacement, be awarded to Phillips Bros Excavating Ltd. in the amount of $297,832.00 plus HST and that the Mayor and Town Clerk be authorized to execute all documentation.
b. 3+ Service Level Agreement
That Riverview Town Council approve
the updated MOU with Moncton and Dieppe on Regional Economic Development;
the updated 3+ Corporation 2022 to 2024 Service Level Agreement (SLA); and
that it authorizes the Mayor and Town Clerk to sign all relevant documentation.
c. Appointment - Planning Advisory Committee
Mayor LeBlanc appointed Debby Brown-Warren for a two-year term, effective immediately.
d. Resolution to Borrow
BE IT RESOLVED that the Clerk and/or Treasurer and/or Mayor be authorized to issue and sell to the New Brunswick Municipal Finance Corporation a municipality of Riverview debenture in the principal amount of $3,300,000.00 on such terms and conditions as are recommended by the New Brunswick Municipal Finance Corporation, and be it resolved that the municipality of Riverview agree to issue post-dated cheques payable to the New Brunswick Municipal Finance Corporation as and when they are requested in payment of principal and interest charges on the above debenture.
e. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – Taken as information
The Town of Riverview will close municipal offices and suspend some non-essential services on September 30 to honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
f. Santa Claus Parade
That direction be given to Director Shea to investigate what it would take to enter a float in the 2021 Santa Claus Parade and report back to Council at the next meeting
