Update on Gunningsville Boulevard intersection improvements

The Town of Riverview is advising motorists that there will be lane reductions at different approaches in the Gunningsville Boulevard intersection at Hillsborough Road and Coverdale Road every day from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. until August 31 as the project enters into the above-ground reconstruction phase.

In these final weeks of the project, crews will be widening the road and constructing new left-turn lanes to accommodate the additional traffic capacity in this intersection.

During paving operations, permanent lane markings will be removed and traffic control personnel will direct stop-and-go traffic through the work zone. Drivers should expect delays.

Regular two-way traffic is anticipated during the day.

The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the public’s patience while this work is completed.
