Town of Riverview issues facility update as Zone 1 re-enters ‘yellow’ phase

RIVERVIEW (N.B.) – The Town of Riverview wishes to update residents regarding the status of municipal facilities following the province’s decision to return Zone 1 – which includes Riverview – to the ‘yellow’ COVID-19 recovery phase.

The following Town of Riverview facilities will return to the yellow phase as of today, Monday, March 8:

  • Byron Dobson Arena
  • Coverdale Centre
  • Bridgedale Centre
  • Community Hall
  • Indoor Skatepark
  • YOUth Drop-in Centre
  • Pat Crossman Memorial Pool (aquatic rentals and all other aquatic programs)
  • Isaac’s Run Dog Park
  • Fitness Studio
  • Town trails, parks and playgrounds

Regular user groups of these facilities have been contacted by the Town’s Parks and Recreation Department. Any individual or user group uncertain about events booked should contact the appropriate facility for further guidance.

Pre-registration is required at the Skatepark and YOUth Drop-in Centre. Weekly activities can be booked online each Sunday at 11 a.m. at bit.ly/2Oocx39. Individuals, groups and organizations using Town recreation facilities are reminded to ensure they have revised and submitted their operational plans, and to ensure that those plans follow all guidelines indicated by the province regarding yellow COVID-19 recovery phase.

The Town would also like to remind the public that face coverings are required in all buildings owned and operated by the municipality.
