Spring Into Maple Fest 2026

Get ready to savour the season with Riverview Maple Fest from Friday, March 27 - Sunday, March 29!  

This annual celebration of maple syrup season brings together local businesses, community partners, and maple producers for a weekend filled with sweet treats, hands-on workshops, family fun, and unique experiences across town and in neighbouring Albert County. 

What to Expect 

From maple brunches and scavenger hunts to educational tours and creative workshops, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Learn 

  • On Friday, March 27 travel back in time at Riverview Rewind and explore the early history of east Riverview, including how HMCS Coverdale helped set the stage for Mill Creek Nature Park
  • Discover the basics of sourdough bread and pasta at the Maple Sourdough Workshop on Friday night.
  • Stop by Riverview’s first-ever Seedy Saturday on Saturday, March 28! Swap seeds, meet local vendors, and enjoy a presentation from guest speaker, Bob Osborne of Corn Hill Nursery.
  • Throughout the weekend, take a behind‑the‑scenes tour of Eco360 to see how their operations work and why sorting waste makes a real difference—or go “beyond the flush” with a fascinating look at what happens at TransAqua on Saturday starting at 10 a.m.

  • Take a tour of the Fundy Maple Sugar Camp on Saturday, March 28 and grab a taffy on the snow.
  • Discover local birding hot-spots and how to identify species with a Beginner Birding Workshop on Sunday, March 29.
  • Visit Farmer Brown’s Sugarhouse for two separate Maple Fest experiences: follow clues and explore the property during the Maple Scavenger Hunt or register for a magical foraging experience around the sugarhouse that is complete with a delicious wood-fired pizza straight from the oven to wrap up the day.
  • Enjoy a fire-brewed maple coffee and a Briggs Maples s’more while listening to live acoustic music with local bluegrass band The Smalltown Hounds on Saturday, March 28 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Mill Creek Nature Park Lookout, and gather around the campfire later that afternoon from 1 to 3:30 p.m. for maple treats with the local Traditional Scouting Troop. 

Experience Maple 

  • Walk the Pedersen’s Maples trails on Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Dawson Settlement to discover sweet maple traditions.
  • Embrace the maple season with a Pancake Breakfast or a Maple Brunch.
  • Stop by the Riverview Community Hall on Friday night from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. to grab maple taffy on the snow without leaving town.
  • Visit festival sponsor Briggs Maples for Maple Mania. On Saturday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. 

Create 

  • On Saturday, travel the globe through dance! Discover cultural dances from across the world with School of Atlantic Ballet’s dance principal, Yulia Schevchenko.
  • Film your best 45 second consistent trick line at the Riverview Indoor Skatepark and Youth Centre.
  • Explore the hilarious world of drama games and improvisation with an Improv Workshop on Saturday, March 28 from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. at the Parks & Recreation Fitness Studio.
  • Learn the art of acrylic painting with Ji Hyang Ryu, handcrafted soaps with Zoli Handcrafted Soaps, or Ukrainian Pysanka (Traditional Easter Eggs) with the Ukrainian Association of Moncton.
