Riverview Recreation Complex
The Town received firm funding commitments from both levels of government in April 2023. Following the completion of the facility's design and construction drawings, award of tender is expected in 2024. Planned activities will see negotiation of contracts, site preparation/mobilization, and significant advancement of construction milestones. After 22-24 months of construction, the facility is anticipated to open its doors to residents in 2026.
Whitepine Field
New batting cages are being installed at Whitepine Field. The Town is working in conjunction with Riverview Minor Baseball to provide this upgrade.
Dobson Trail Head - Findlay Blvd
The new trail head at the end of Findlay Blvd is being upgraded to help with boggy conditions. 0-3" rock being added to aid drainage with a top coat of tailings to provide a comfortable walking surface, giving walkers and hiking enthusiasts a dry access point to the bridge and ultimately the Dobson trail system.
Page Field
The infield of Page Field is being redone with new sod, being built up and crowned to help alleviate the standing water issue when there is heavy rain. Soil conditioner being added to help the infield dry more quickly and higher level fields will have new mounds added.
