APPROVAL OF APPROACH TO ROUNDABOUTS
- Council passed a motion to direct staff to investigate and recommend ways to increase the number of roundabouts in new subdivisions as well as other ways to increase the number of roundabouts in the Town of Riverview.
- Mayor LeBlanc presented Councillor Johnson with a mat featuring a central roundabout to commemorate his time serving on Council. Councillor Johnson is not re-offering for next term and has been a devout advocate of roundabouts during his time served on Riverview Town Council.
APPROVAL OF APRIL GRANTS
- Council approved the following grants:
- Friends of the Moncton Hospital in the amount of $5000
- Make A Wish Foundation in the amount of $1000
- Multicultural Association of Greater Moncton in the amended amount of $3000
- Jamaican Canadian Association in the amount of $500
- Al Salam Community Centre in the amount of $500
NEXT MEETING
Council meets next on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. for the Oath of Office Ceremony for the 2026 incoming Council. Election Day is May 11 and residents are encouraged to visit the Elections NB website for more information on candidates and how to vote.
