Riverview Sign Lighting

Organizations and community groups can request to have special lighting at the Riverview sign overlooking the Brenda Robertson Bridge (behind Town Hall). Special lighting can be arranged to recognize events, celebrations, and awareness campaigns.

All public requests must meet the following criteria:

  • Be aligned with the Town of Riverview strategic vision to be a thriving, safe, and inclusive community
  • Promote events, activities, and/or awareness campaigns that affect Riverview residents and promote a sense of community
  • Have a recognizable colour or colours associated with the request, and a clear mandate for how the lighting will benefit the cause/event
  • Municipal events or days which have regional, national, or international significance are reserved for use by the Town of Riverview
  • Where possible, requests should be submitted no later than four weeks before the requested date.

Requests that are personal, political, or commercial in nature will not be considered. The Town of Riverview retains the right to refuse any request for any reason whatsoever.

Requests are processed in the order in which they are received and are considered on a first come, first served basis. All special occassion lighting is eligible for one 24-hour period, with some exceptions. Please note that annual reoccurring requests are not currently permitted, and we invite you to apply to reserve your date annually.

Please complete the Request for Special Lighting Application Form and a staff member will be in touch.
