Council Continues 2026 Budget Discussions on November 5

Riverview Town Council will discuss the 2026 municipal budget during a series of public meetings held in Council Chambers at Riverview Town Hall, 30 Honour House Court. Residents are invited to attend or tune in via the live stream channel on our website or catch up by watching the recordings. 

External Presentations 

• Sept. 8: Riverview Public Library and Riverview Arts Centre
• Sept. 22: You Turns, Capitol Theatre, and Riverview BGC
• Oct. 15: Codiac Transpo, TransAqua, and the Codiac Regional Policing Authority. 

Wednesday, November 5 
9 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Open Council – Staff presentation of Budget to Council 

Saturday, November 8 (only if necessary) 
9 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Open Council – Staff continues presentation of Budget to Council  

Monday, November 10 
7 p.m.: Regular Council Meeting - Council votes to approve budget.

The process for developing the budget begins in the fall of each year. At that time, Council establishes priorities/budget parameters for the upcoming budget based on staff and citizen input provided throughout the year. Council typically deliberates and approves the budget in mid-November.
