Riverview Celebrates Youth Week 2026
The Town of Riverview is marking Youth Week 2026 with a week of youth-focused events and activities taking place May 1–7. All events are free and open to the public.
What to Expect
Friday, May 1 — Opening Night at the Skatepark
Youth Week kicks off on Friday, May 1 at the Riverview Indoor Skatepark & Youth Centre with Turn Up the Future 2.0, a live show featuring three local youth bands: Entropy, No Name, and The Koopalings. Hip-hop artists, DaySick and Straight on Til Morning will also perform a special set and film content for an upcoming music video.
A Youth Market will be open throughout the show, featuring booths run exclusively by young vendors and creators. Community organizations will also be on hand to share information about programs and opportunities for youth in Riverview.
Sunday, May 3 — 3rd Annual Youth Brush Battle
On Sunday, don’t miss the 3rd Annual Youth Brush Battle hosted in collaboration with local artist and art battle champion, Ji Hyang Ryu. This fast-paced, live art competition will see 18 young artists race against the clock to create original works across multiple rounds.
The twist: the audience decides who advances. Spectators vote between rounds, making this as much a participatory experience as a performance. After each round, completed artworks will be auctioned, and attendees can take home a one-of-a-kind original piece created right before their eyes.
