DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS
- All departments shared their reports for May/June 2025.
- As part of the Engineering & Public Works Report, Council received answers to visibility questions at the construction site at the corner of Pine Glen Rd. and Whitepine Rd. Measures are being taken to improve visibility and will be monitored as the work is ongoing. A study has been commissioned this year to look at traffic calming measures on Pinewood Rd. between Gunningsville Blvd. and Pine Glen Rd. The consultant is working on a solution, and this includes considerations such as speed bumps.
- It was also shared that members of the Veterans Association met with staff, the Mayor, and members of Council to discuss the request for a commemorative crosswalk.
OTHER BUSINESS
- Council passed a recommendation to award a grant to the Jamaican Canadian Association of New Brunswick in the amount of $500.
- Council passed a recommendation to approve the Proposed Terms of Reference for the Healthcare Advocacy Committee. Recruitment for this committee will begin after the recommendation is formally approved at the Regular Council Meeting in July.
- Council passed a motion to formally name the Mayor (or the Deputy Mayor in the Mayor’s absence) as the voting delegate for UMNB.

- A reminder from Mayor LeBlanc that SUNFEST takes place this weekend, and to be sure to stop by the Canada Day celebrations taking place in Caseley Park from 12 – 5 p.m. on July 1!
