Fire Prevention Week 2025 is observed from October 5-11. This year's theme, “Charge into Fire Safety!™: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home,” works to educate everyone about the importance of buying, charging, and recycling these batteries safely. Here are some helpful resources to learn more about fire prevention in your household.

Residents are also encouraged to sign up to receive text and email alerts through the Riverview Alerts system. The system provides updates on winter parking bans, road closures, and other emergency measures—helping households stay informed and better prepared.
