Riverview Town Hall
Deputy Mayor

Andrew LeBlanc is serving his second term as Councillor at Large since being first elected in May 2012, and was elected Deputy Mayor in May 2020. His years of work with youth and his desire to help create a sound strategy for long-term growth are what motivated him to run for public office.

In addition to serving the community on Council, Andrew is Executive Director of Atlantic Wellness Community Centre. He is passionate about attracting the kind of commercial and residential growth that will encourage more families to call Riverview home. To do this, he supports the Town’s Sustainable Development Plan which examines the viability of future projects and investments from a variety of perspectives, including long-term sustainability.

Andrew is also a strong advocate for of the Town’s arts, culture and recreational programming as these services play an important role in the quality of life that residents have in Riverview. A long-time community leader, he is the recipient of the Kim Halliday Asset Builders Award from the United Way for his community work.

When he is not busy working on behalf of residents, Andrew, his wife Patricia and daughter Amelia like to enjoy the many family activities and events hosted by Riverview’s Parks and Recreation Department. Music is also a favourite pastime and Andrew plays guitar and percussion with a local acoustic trio called “The AJs."
