Join the Conversation About Our Arena’s Future

The Town of Riverview is inviting members of our arena community to take part in an upcoming User Group Session for the Byron Dobson Memorial Arena Grandstand and Changeroom Renovation project, planned for 2027.

As we begin shaping the future of this important community space, we want to hear directly from the people who use it most.

Who Should Attend?

We’re looking for participation from:

• Coaches

• Volunteers

• Parents

• Participants and athletes

• Referees

• Other active arena users

If you use the facility in any capacity, your perspective matters.

Session Details

Date: Thursday, February 19, 2026
Time: Drop-in format between 6:00 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
Location: Upper Mezzanine, Byron Dobson Memorial Arena

This will be an informal, listening-focused session. Participants may arrive at any time during the scheduled window, stay as long as they wish, and share their experiences through guided discussions and interactive activities.

The goal of this session is to better understand how different groups use the arena today and what matters most as we look ahead. Feedback gathered will help inform the design process. While not every suggestion can be incorporated due to budget, technical, scope, or regulatory considerations, all input will contribute to shaping the project.

The session will be facilitated by Architects Four Limited, who are leading the design on behalf of the Town. Photos may be taken as part of the Town’s standard public engagement process.
